Elevated fire danger to parts of Northern California this week

Gusty north winds and low humidity are raising the risk for fire danger on Thursday and Friday in areas of Northern California, according to KCRA 3’s weather team.That combination brings an elevated fire danger in the Valley and lower Foothills, Chief Meteorologist Mark Finan says.Grass fires will have the chance to spread quickly in these conditions.KCRA 3’s weather team has developed a new tool the team will be using to keep you informed as fire conditions change.
