Fayetteville Roots looks awesome this year: Taj Mahal, Molly Tuttle, Samantha Crain, The Wood Brothers plus

Hosted by Bryan and Bernice Hembree (of duo Smokey & The Mirror) and Jerrmy Gawthrop of Woodstone Pizza, the long-running food- and music-fueled Fayetteville Roots Festival is back August 25-27, and some of our faves are on the lineup: Rachel Ammons, Melissa Carper, Radio Free Honduras, Dana Louise’s new outfit Meadow Makers. Plus, headliners The Wood Brothers, Taj Mahal, Betty LaVette, North Mississippi Allstars and others.

Main stages are at the Roots HQ, the Fayetteville Town Center, and the new Fayetteville Public Library Event Center, and late-night stages will take place at Roots HQ, George’s Majestic, and Maxine’s. Ticket prices range widely from $25-$340 and are available here.

Check it out.

Fayetteville Roots on The Avenue

A satellite set of concerts looks great, too — Fayetteville Roots on The Avenue, June 17-19. Arkansawyer Iris Dement plays, and Leyla McCallah, too, who blew me away in 2016 in Little Rock.
