What is Flipsnack in education used for?
There is a wide variety of ready-made customizable templates that teachers and students can start with. They can edit the template the way they want. They can add images, audio, videos, links, and when their publication is ready they can click to share it on social media websites, embed in school/class website or blog, share it with others (e.g., students, parents, colleagues) via email, or download it in different formats including: PDF, JPG, GIF, Video, and PNG.
What is Flipsnack workspace?
A Workspace is ‘a dedicated space where one or more people can work on a specific project’. When you first create your account on Flipsnack you are automatically accorded a default/original workspace. You can then add more workspaces, invite others to join your workspaces or join others that invited you to their workspaces.
Workspaces allow you to ‘create a network of projects without needing to own all of the individual projects.’ For instance, you can create a workspace dedicated to a specific classroom project. You can then create and save flipbooks and other publications related to the project in this workspace so you can easily access, edit, and share them with others. You can also invite other teachers or students to join a particular workspace and start collaborating with you on joint projects.
‘You can assign specific roles within a team. Depending on each role, that person will have a certain set of responsibilities and permissions. It’s worth mentioning that only the owner of a workspace can delete that workspace. Additionally, if you want to work in a team workspace, you need a Business plan or higher.’
To create additional Workspaces, you need to have a premium subscription. Flipsnack offers a 14 days free trial period after which you need to upgrade.
