A man is dead after he got his arm caught in the door of a Red Line train as it departed the station in Massachusetts, according to authorities.The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) said that shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a man suffered fatal injuries inside the Red Line tunnel as a train departed.A spokesperson for the Suffolk County’s District Attorney’s Office said a passenger got their arm stuck in the doorway of an inbound train at the platform, was dragged a short distance and died of their injuries.The victim has not been identified by officials.The MBTA said detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led to the man’s death.In September 2021, a Red Line train derailed at Broadway Station with nearly 50 people on board, but no injuries were reported.Watch the video above for the full story.
