Pangai Jr appeared to make contact with Elliott’s head using his forearm, and in doing so turned the ball over after being penalised. He was then placed on report.
“Bit of manhandling there, a bit of a facial,” said Balmain Tigers legend Steve Roach on commentary during Fox League’s coverage.
“He will get done for that the way the game is today.”
The incident involving Elliott is the latest in a long line of reckless plays that have seen the 26-year-old constantly flirting with suspensions throughout his career.
Pangai Jr was reported twice in the same trial match earlier this year but avoided suspension after the match review committee decided against a suspension on both counts.

However, the reprieve did not convince Pangai Jr to curtail his aggression and he was placed on report just two minutes into his first official NRL match in Bulldogs colours in round one.
Pangai Jr is in the first year of a three-year deal worth approximately $2.2 million with the Bulldogs after beginning his NRL career with the Brisbane Broncos back in 2016.
