Melbourne Cup runner Tralee Rose has been taken to hospital after she was reportedly galloped on during the race.
The Symon Wilde horse finished ninth in the $8 million race that was won by Verry Elleegant.
Reports from Flemington say all 22 other Cup runners are healthy after the race.
The five-year-old mare, trained by Wilde, finished ninth. She was ridden by jockey Dean Holland.
According to The Age, Tralee Rose was sent to a local vet hospital for scans after a laceration appeared on one of its hind legs.
Tralee Rose will undergo a precautionary examination to determine whether there is any structural damage.
